Emma Watson and Logan Lerman are in talks to star in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The coming-of-age drama follows a shy and unpopular teenager who describes his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person and explores the awkward times of adolescence. Stephen Chbosky will direct from his own script based on his own book. Seems like a pretty hands-on type of guy.
Lerman was most recently in theaters in Percy Jackson. He was rumored earlier this year to be the new Spider-Man but that doesn’t look like it’s going to pan out since he signed recently to star in The Three Musketeers for director Paul W.S. Anderson. Watson is best known for her role in the Harry Potter movies. She returns to theaters this fall in the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
